The Autumn programme has come around yet again, and what a busy year it seems to<\/p>\n
have been so far.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our last Christmas Party and Lunch were very successful at our venue of the Connaught<\/p>\n
Hotel and we will \u00a0be going again this coming Christmas for our normal get together. We<\/p>\n
had a good number last year and I am \u00a0hoping that we will exceed our previous record,<\/p>\n
re attendance, as this time the date has been brought forward, away from Christmas<\/p>\n
week, when members tell me, that they are extremely busy trying to catch up with all<\/p>\n
that needs to be done before the day of celebration.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
This time the hotel has asked us to choose what we eat before \u00a0the day and so I have given<\/p>\n
the menu for you to complete when you apply for tickets. Hopefully doing things this way<\/p>\n
will save postage but of course will be more work for me but that is par for the course.<\/p>\n
The entertainment has been secured and promises to be very good again.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Like previously, \u00a0you can bring along friends but to help with our overhead costs, we need<\/p>\n
to charge an extra \u00a31.00 for them.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Our Soup and Sandwich Meetings have again been very popular, and our numbers<\/p>\n
have increased which is very good. I have a small lea-way before the venue gets too small<\/p>\n
for our functions, but I am sure that the hotel can cope \u00a0for the moment. Again,<\/p>\n
like in previous years a very varied and interesting programme has been arranged.<\/p>\n
