          • Kate White<\/strong>. Ken has asked Kate to provide a costed and timetabled proposal to help us consider best way to move forward with membership drive, raising our profile and strengthening the Committee.<\/li>\n
          • Bournemouth University Graduate History Project.<\/strong> Awaiting latest update.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • Awaiting new governance arrangements of BCP Council after the local elections being held next week to see if a version of the PPSG will continue.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  6.1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Boscombe and Pokesdown Neighbourhood Plan. \u00a0<\/strong>A petition re revocation of prior approval of right of demolition \u00a0circulated has been circuated.\u00a0 Signed by Ken and Elaine so far from Committee and Ken has forwarded it on to Ian Harvey at Civic Voice.<\/p>\n

                  6.2\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Radcliffe Court.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Plans approved for 26 flats.<\/p>\n

                    • Regent Cinema & ABC. <\/strong>Regent awaiting new plans.\u00a0 ABC likely to be converted to flats according to latest rumours.<\/li>\n
                    • Nuffield Hospital, Lansdowne Road. <\/strong>Awaiting revised plans and feedback following last month\u2019s meeting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      1. Planning.\u00a0 <\/strong>See John Soane\u2019s report:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        8.1\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a06 Valetta Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>The design of the six flats and 1 house was incongruous and should \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 be deferred awaiting a better scheme.<\/p>\n

                        • 36, Duncliffe Road, Wick.\u00a0 <\/strong>The existing house to be demolished and replaced with \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 a new single-family dwelling.\u00a0 The new dwelling needs a better design.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          \u00a0 8.3\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a016 Vale Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>A late 19th<\/sup> Century property to be replaced with a three-storey block \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of seven flats. The design is bland and in no way enhances the area.\u00a0\u00a0 Defer for further \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 discussion.<\/p>\n

                          8.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 63 Boscombe Overcliff.\u00a0 <\/strong>Application to demolish an interwar family residence and construct a four-storey block of flats.\u00a0 The design is poor.\u00a0 Refuse.<\/p>\n

                          8.5<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1008 Wimborne Road<\/strong>.\u00a0 Application to build a mixed development of five flats and two shops on the site of the former Holly Inn car park.\u00a0\u00a0 Acceptable design.\u00a0 Grant.<\/p>\n

                          8<\/strong>.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Horse & Jockey Public House, Wimborne Road<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 An application to demolish the building and construct a large structure of two and four storeys containing 28 flats.\u00a0 The proposed building is too large for the site.\u00a0 A reduction in size is suggested to produce a more balanced appearance.\u00a0 Defer for further consideration.<\/p>\n

                          1. Planning Board Observations<\/strong>. There was no Planning Board meeting in April due to reorganisation of the Council. \u00a0The Next meeting will be on 30th<\/sup> May, which will attended by John Soane as CS Observer.\u00a0 Venue to be advised.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                              1. Civic Voice.\u00a0 <\/strong>Our corporate membership has been renewed. Ian Harvey gave a very good talk at the AGM.\u00a0\u00a0 He mentioned a Toolbox for a review of our strengths and weaknesses. Ken has requested a copy and is now awaiting a reply. \u00a0There will be a Civic Voice conference in Birmingham on 29th<\/sup> May.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                1. Bournemouth 2026\u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong>No further communication.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                        The 2018\/19 programme is now ended. The new programme to begin in September is now ready but not yet circulated.\u00a0\u00a0 Suggestions were made for visits which Ken would follow up.<\/p>\n

                                        1. Membership Officer\u2019s Report.\u00a0 <\/strong>No report as Sally absent. Ken, Jean and Peter have<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                          tried to contact Sally but without success. Ken and Jean would continue to try.<\/p>\n

                                          Ken noted that three members have died but a couple joined at the AGM so in<\/p>\n

                                          Sally\u2019s absence he had written to them acknowledging membership and sending<\/p>\n

                                          them the most recent newsletter and activities information.<\/p>\n

                                          \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

                                          1. Webmaster\u2019s Report.<\/strong> All up-to-date including AGM presentation.\u00a0 Ken was \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 reimbursed the \u00a341.99 he had paid to TSO Host.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                                                Jean and Elaine reported that as this was to be the last meeting with the existing Bournemouth Council administration, Caroline had baked \u00a0\u00a0a lemon drizzle cake for us.<\/p>\n

                                                • The new Planning Committee will be held every 4 weeks. The location revolving between the three areas of the new BCP Council.<\/li>\n
                                                • Graham Farrant is the new Chief Executive over 4 tiers of management. Head of Planning will be at the fourth tier.<\/li>\n
                                                • Cliff End Hotel is being demolished completely, nothing is being salvaged.<\/li>\n
                                                • Westbourne Grand Cinema. Still no news.<\/li>\n
                                                • Hicks Farm. On-going plans for a Tourism\/Heritage Centre.<\/li>\n
                                                • Training Hotel. No progress.<\/li>\n
                                                • Winter Gardens. Legal issues holding up progress.<\/li>\n
                                                • Herbert Hospital. Part of the new plans was approved.<\/li>\n
                                                • Punshon Site. Plans awaiting consideration.<\/li>\n
                                                • Belvedere Hotel. Development awaited.<\/li>\n
                                                • Riviera Hotel. Awaiting consideration.<\/li>\n
                                                • Wessex Fields. Development plans awaited for proposed medical research centre.\u00a0 Said to create 2500 new jobs.<\/li>\n
                                                • Odeon Cinema. May have a cultural offer.<\/li>\n

                                                    awards \u00a0<\/strong>and an exhibition on the builders of Bournemouth.\u00a0\u00a0 A sub-committee would<\/p>\n

                                                    1. Next Meetings <\/strong>\u2013 Due to Bank Holidays and other commitments it was agreed to meet<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
