            • 114-120 Charminster Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>An application for an extension at the rear of the two<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              restaurants to build 6 very small flats.\u00a0 Flats too small – refuse<\/p>\n

              • 12 Foxholes Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>A vacant plot, the shape of the proposed building was good, but<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                the fenestration was poor and the flats too small \u2013 defer.<\/p>\n

                • 5 Berkeley Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>Housing Association development, poor design – refuse<\/li>\n
                • 68 Lorne Park Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>The revised design was still an inappropriate replacement of<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  the original building although there was little wrong with the design<\/p>\n

                  • \u00a0Seaward Avenue.\u00a0 <\/strong>The proposed balconies were inappropriate for a residential street.<\/li>\n
                  • Herbert Hospital.\u00a0 <\/strong>A well-planned 8 bed ward for young persons with mental<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    problems.\u00a0 There had been 74 complaints from local residents but it was thought that a<\/p>\n

                    management plan and better liaison with local residents would resolve their objections<\/p>\n

                    • Corner Benellen Road\/Bourne Valley Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>Proposed \u2018Arts & Crafts\u2019 houses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      were good<\/p>\n

                        \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>of revised illuminated signs was approved<\/p>\n

                        9.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rear of 131-139 Columbia Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>Erection of 8 houses was approved<\/p>\n

                        9.3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 40 Florence Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>Demolition of current building and replacement with 2\/3 storey<\/p>\n

                        block of nine flats – approved<\/p>\n

                        9.4\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 30-32 Seabourne Road.\u00a0 <\/strong>Alterations to four flats to create two more – approved<\/p>\n

                        \u00a0 9.5\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 40 Wordsworth Avenue.\u00a0 <\/strong>Installation of a balustrade and decking \u2013 refused<\/p>\n

                        \u00a09.6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 13 Durley Road South.\u00a0 <\/strong>Demolition of existing to build 26 flats \u2013 approved<\/p>\n

                          1. Civic Voice. \u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            11.1\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong>\u00a0AGM in Birmingham.\u00a0 <\/strong>Jean and David attended the AGM \u2013 the theme was \u2018A<\/p>\n

                            \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Conversation about Conservation\u2019 with speakers from English Heritage, Historic<\/p>\n

                            England, the Heritage Lottery Fund and others.\u00a0 There were workshops and tours of<\/p>\n

                            historic parts of the city.\u00a0 The overall message was \u2018Be Positive \u2013 we can be<\/p>\n

                            Gamekeepers as well as Poachers.<\/p>\n

                            11.2\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 Speaker at Our AGM.\u00a0 <\/strong>Ian Harvey was able to accept the invitation to be guest<\/p>\n

                            \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>speaker at the AGM in April but suggested that Jean Humble, Chair of Blackpool Civic Trust might be a better choice as could speak not only as Civic Voice Trustee but as Chair of seaside town Civic Society. It was agreed to ask Jean Humble to attend.<\/p>\n

                                      17.2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Keith Barnes\u2019 Estate.\u00a0 <\/strong>The Treasurer had received a letter from Preston and<\/p>\n

                                      Redman indicating that there would be a payment from Keith\u2019s estate, but the value<\/p>\n

                                      of the payment had still to be calculated.<\/p>\n

                                        \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>appointment as Chief Planning Officer for Torbay.\u00a0 Items from the meeting with<\/p>\n

                                        him on 12th<\/sup> October included:<\/p>\n

                                        • Winton Neighbourhood Plan \u2013 a skeleton High Street poroject<\/li>\n
                                        • Queens Park Neighbourhood Plan \u2013 a Forum was being created<\/li>\n
                                        • A338\/ RBH approach roads and road widening problems \u2013 nothing new<\/li>\n
                                        • Beach Huts \u2013 new overnight huts would rent for \u00a3800-\u00a31,300 per week<\/li>\n
                                        • Hicks Farm \u2013 a bid was being made to the Heritage Lottery Fund as part of the Stour Valley Scheme. The house was being offered for letting<\/li>\n
                                        • Town Centre parking \u2013 \u2018no problem\u2019 car parks were underused<\/li>\n
                                        • Westover Road cinemas and proposals and Council ideas for their use \u2013 nothing yet, no money<\/li>\n
                                        • Cliff End Hotel \u2013 waiting for the Meyrick Estate<\/li>\n
                                        • New Authority (from April 2019) \u2013 there would be a combined department, not clear whether there would be a sub department for each borough.<\/li>\n
                                        • Carallion oil drilling in Bay – they had a temporary government licence<\/li>\n
                                        • Housing needs \u2013 the Government had changed the criteria<\/li>\n
                                        • Boscombe Neighbourhood Plan \u2013 well advanced, costing \u00a345k<\/li>\n
                                        • Michelgrove House \u2013 proposal to demolish and replace with flats<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
