Bournemouth Council believe it or not is actively seeking to demolish the oldest building in Bournemouth. This Bournemouth Echo link<\/a> explains much of the background to this:<\/p>\n There are a group of us collectively known as Friends of Riverside seeking to stop the demolition of the 16th Century barn as part of a wider scheme under planning application 7-2017-9177-DH, which we are also objecting to along with over 250 other people\/organisations. This planning application can be found online here<\/a>.<\/p>\n The local MP Tobias Ellwood and Molly Scott Cato MEP are amongst those who wish to keep the Cob Barn as are a number of supportive Bournemouth Councillors and of course many local residents and organizations (including Bournemouth Civic Society we understand).<\/p>\n We are planning an event on the next Bank Holiday Monday (28\/05\/18) to highlight the Cob Barn to stop it being pulled down by Bournemouth Council.<\/p>\n
